2024 sbtcc NATIONAL SPECIALTY!!
The Squibs Mercier SBTCC National Specialty for 2024 has received CKC's approval. Our event will be held in conjunction with the Cornwall and District Kennel Club Show on Sunday September 1, 2024.

MORE EXCITING NEWS is that on Saturday, the Rideau Terrier Club will hold a Specialty PLUS right after our Specialty on Sunday they are holding a second Specialty with the STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER as the Breed of Distinction.

So on that weekend you could attend 3 Specialties as well as the regular all-breed shows! W O W!

We will have the honour of having Judith Heller as our judge for our Specialty. PLUS there will be a brief Scent Detection demonstration by our very own Stephanie Crawford (AKC Scent Detection judge) on the finer points of this fun sport.

So - get those hotel rooms or campsites booked folks. It's going to be a great weekend.

Speciality Results

Judge: Dawne Deeley

The Speciality is held at the Alberta Kennel Club Summer Classic. The AKC Classic is a 4 day event with group conformation judging every day, with over 9,000 entries and 2000 visitors.

Dawne Deeley was the expert Judge for our event, and her carefull assessment and consideration of our dogs was much appreciated. Staffords were well represented every day In Group 4 (Terrier) Conformation classes; with several Group 4 placements.

The SBTCC is proud to exhibit our "all purpose dog".

The SBTCC thanks everyone for their support and participation in this very successful Speciality. The retail donors were very generous as were the many individuals who donated their gifts, sponsorships, and time.

Terrina Maciborski and Krista MacPherson were stellar leaders in organizing and staging the show. Their enthusiasim and efforts made it enjoyable for all participants (and their dogs). We thank Terrina and Krista for their pride in our breed and committment to the success of our Western Specialities.

The Club has received permission from the CKC to permanently name our National Specialty Show the "Squibs Mercier Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Canada's National Specialty Show" each year we have one. This will be a lasting tribute to the great lady who personified our breed.

Membership is for individuals who wish to participate in or be associated with the activities of the Club. Yearly dues of $25.00 are payable in CDN funds to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of Canada (SBTCC) each year on January 1st. We welcome inquiries.
